好久不更新了，其实中间还是发生了小小的一些事情，但是老是懒。今天写一部最近看的电影吧。

 

Spring quarter的时候在nano material的final presentation的时候用了一张从网上找的老鼠的照片，特别可爱，老婆也很喜欢。之后我也没太留意，只是看到公交车站有一样的招贴画，知道是部电影。在后来老婆想看，从强大的bt上下来，片名叫“ratatouille”，一个法国菜名。

 

故事发生在法国巴黎，一只非常有天分的老鼠Ramy一心想当厨师，却因为显而易见的原因不能如愿，后来和一个天资一般的无名小卒合作，终于实现了自己的愿望。故事从一支小老鼠的梦想开始，到这个梦想得到实现结束。

 

很久没有看卡通了，这部电影之于我一开始是一股久违的童真般的想象力。套用导演Brad Bird的话，A rat, cooking in a kitchen, there is nothing further apart from each other than this two.  当然这在现实生活中是不可能发生的事情，但是就是从这种天方夜谭的故事中，导演和编剧展现给我们对于梦想应该持有的态度，还有看待那些新鲜甚至是离经叛道的想法事物。我和老婆都特别喜欢影片的最后那个critics的那段评论，昨天晚上两个人听译了老半天，结果发现网上就有，zz如下：

 

In many ways, the work of a critic is easy.

We risk very little yet enjoy a position over those who offer up their work and themselves to our judgment. We thrive on negative criticism, which is fun to write and to read.

But the bitter truth we critics must face is that, in the grand scheme of things, the average piece of junk is probably more meaningful than our criticism designating it so.

But there are times when a critic truly risks something, and that is in the discovery and defense of the new. Last night, I experienced something new, an extraordinary meal from a singularly unexpected source.

To say that both the meal and its maker have challenged my preconceptions is a gross understatement. They have rocked me to my core.

In the past, I have made no secret of my disdain for Chef Gusteau's famous motto: Everyone can cook. But I realize that only now do I truly understand what he meant. Not everyone can become a great artist, but a great artist can come from anywhere.

It is difficult to imagine more humble origins than those of the genius now cooking at Gusteau's, who is, in this critic's opinion, nothing less than the finest chef in France. I will be returning to Gusteau's soon, hungry for more.

 

每个人在判断或者是criticise的时候都是一个很主观的过程，偏见和经验在左右着自己的想法。这当然是没有办法避免的，但是过分的偏见或者是固执却很有可能毁灭或者扼杀一些新的不成熟但是美好的东西。说到底也是一个度的问题，坚持固然重要，但同样重要的是keep your mind open，只有这样，脑袋里才能有更多的空间吸收和学习，对每个人都是一样的，无论男女老少。

 

我还特别喜欢这部电影的配乐，composer michael的作品已经是脍炙人口了，最有名的当属Mission impossible里面的片头和主旋律。在Ratatouille里,他把一只小老鼠的心理活动和动作用音乐表达得活灵活现，在偷东西吃的时候被人追打逃跑，第一次看到巴黎的时候的激动和希望等等。当然，最喜欢的还是在影片结束时的那首法语歌曲le festin，法国女歌手Camile演唱的。 当影片进行到这个时候，这首歌给我的感觉就是：生活原来真得可以很美。她的嗓音是很清晰干净的，或者说是清纯的，非常美的一首歌。

 

总之，这电影触动我让我几个月以来第一次更新blog，也是让我愿意在看一遍的作品，就我而言，很美！牢骚一句，国内的导演们如果能静下心来，其实是可以拍出好作品的，非要搞那些追求利益的商业片，十面埋伏那样的作品，希望永远都不要再出来。
