    Recent watched three movies

    All available on BT

    1. 'I want candy'

Bloody good movie.  couldn't help watching it again and again.  Anybody can have a dream, which is sometimes in a funny way or sounds rediculous.  But is doesn't borther you to do great.  The story is about two photography college students pictureing a porn movie as their course project, which is critical for graduation.  They are ambitious and trying to find investment for their script.  But carelessly they got funded by a porn production company and started their hilarious and exciting adventure.  The story is wonderful and full of imagination.  The lines are funny and the scene and music are all good, funny, kinda sexy.  Plus, the actress are hoooooot, Carmen Electra and Michelle Ryan.   Get a chance to watch it.  Sui and I like it very much.

    2. 'Death proof'

Directed by Quentin,  the same as 'Pulp fiction' and 'kill bill'.  Many movie critics called him "crazy" but most of people regard him characteristic.  This movie is simple and neat, not any confounded logic and reason.  The only thesis is "Don't mess up with women."   Main charicter is a man purposely generate car accident to kill young hotty women.   The movie has only two parts: 1) he did it. 2) he did not and is so bitten up by those women he tried to mess with.   The story is so simple and the director used two hours to create an atmosphere and discribe how this man planed everything out and how successfully he did at the first time and how he got screwed at the second time.  Quentin is good at expressing violence in a special way, bare bloody, ironic or in a homor way.  In this movie, he is slowly attracted you imagination to picture a violence scence and kinda allure you in as the character allure those girls.   But in the end, the violence was used against the killer, you suddenly feel so good about it.   This movie is typical USA movie, simple, clear but fully expressed.  A lot of car chasing. Get a chance to watch it too.

    3. 'The lake house'

Old story from Korean movie 'untouchable lover' but with a happy ending.  I like it partly because it happened in Chicago and many of the scences are quite familiar. I like this version because a romantic story deserve a happy end.  The korean one is too much sad and I don't want to evan watch it again.  In this movie, the story is told slowly and the love is tender, not very intense but very sweet.  The pace is a little like 'brokenback mountain'.  The process is gentle, the emotion is very detail and the dialogue is good.  I like the performance of Sandra at the scence when she saw Alex's painting and at the same time heard he was dead.  You can see the emotion and thought changing on her face, from the sweet memory to deeply sad and finally found out she actually witnessed his death.  From this I would say, she is a great actress.  In the movie, the pictures are beautiful.  You will love Chicago after watching this.  Get another chance to watch it if you want to hear a worm sweet love story.  It is kinda classic.  Plus, the music is good too.

    Back from trip-Day eight-final

Day eight: Bensen peak and aspray fall
We went up to bensen peak about 2 miles south of Mammoth.  It was a valcano but has been hibernating for million years.  Now it just looks like a big hill.  The hight gain is a little less than Mt. Washburn but still when you are up at the summit, the view of meadow down there and the mountain range on the west is awesome.  The hiking trail guide book says that you should climb up at sunrise and those mountian range will be covered by golden light.  Evan better is than you hike in spring and there is still snow on the mountain.

We met a mid age couple and had a little chat. They said we should go to the Glacier National Park from Canadian side, if we want to see snow mountain.  I will go there once I got a chance.  Definetely.

Down from the other side of Bensen peak, we continued to go down a canyon.  It was really tough going down at that steep cliff.  But when we got to the bottom and saw the ospray fall, everything is worthy, especially when you are the one of those few people can really get down here.  I climbed down to the fall as closed as possible.  The wind and water was just too strong and it is not loud.  But I still did a little flowing in the ice cold water.

When we hiked up the canyon, we suddenly found our water is not enough and we started to walk insanely fast.  The last three miles walking only took us 1 hour to finish.  There was even a moment that we were the only guys walking on the meadow and it was kinda scaring.  I was quite amazed that we can walk that fast and the girls did such a damn good walking job and I took a picture of them at the parking lot.

One thing I should add is we encountered grizzly bear again and this time, the closest distance from the bear and Sui was just maybe ten feet.  The bear was walking down from one side of road and crossing.  Sui took pictures when it was still up there and when it started crossing she didn't manage to get back and just jumped in a nearest car.  It is so closed that you can get a clear picure even with your cell phone camare.

That is basically all the trip and when we drove back to Salt Lake City, we got a flat tire.  Luckly, someone on the way helped us to exchange it and we could catch our plane.  And I saw Wendy at the airport too. hehe
