San Jose for one week SPIE conference.  It was fun but a week is a liitle too long and I was tired in the end. 

 

First several days was exciting, many famous people showed up and it was fun to me to recognize them according to their pictures on the website.  

 

My talk is fine and it sounds much more confortable than I expected.   A little nervous in first couple of slides but the rest is ok.  A big cow asked me a question, which I didn't answer well.  So for a damage control, I went to him for a disscussion after stepping down the stage. 

 

The hotel is actually a motel and expensive.   The airport is so small and lack of signs.  

 

Stanford is big and so big that some student was killed by a lion when he was walking inside the "campus area". 

 

At last, the weather is much warmer than Chicago and I escaped last extremely cold week. hehe.  My labmate told me that at some point last week, the temprature is even lower than north pole.  Geeze...

经过试验室三个人轮流侦查，发现老板怀孕了。不知道是好消息还是坏消息。

 

一个星期了，我的两台电脑居然还在运算，搞得我啥都干不了，无聊的只能做点无意义的实验，然后等老婆回家。我的paper啥时候能写完@_@

 

芝加哥这两天太暖和了，让人幻觉已经春天了，其实冬季学期才刚开始。我发愁啊，老婆回来带她去哪里滑雪？

 

回来的一个星期，和朋友隔天吃一个火锅，久违的豆豆出来了。

 

嗯，这次就想起这些，新年了，大家都好！
